Our Commitment

Data Guardians uses artificial intelligence (AI) occasionally as a tool to support the creation, translation and review of content on this website. As a company specializing in cybersecurity and data protection, we have voluntarily chosen to apply the transparency principles set out in the European Union’s Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act, Article 50).

This choice is deliberate. Experience shows that major European regulations ultimately help shape the Swiss regulatory framework: the GDPR, for example, had a significant influence on the revision of Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection. Anticipating these standards, rather than simply reacting to them, is part of our profession. This approach also supports the development of our activities, which are expected to extend beyond Swiss borders. This page explains how and to what extent AI is used in our content, and where its role ends.

AI may be used to support the drafting process, including for initial drafts, rephrasing, translations and language editing. All published content is reviewed, edited and approved by our teams before publication. A human being retains editorial responsibility for every text: AI never replaces the professional, technical or legal judgment of our experts, particularly on matters relating to information security and compliance.

Images and Illustrations

The visuals used on this website are primarily purchased or licensed. Some illustrations, particularly those accompanying our blog articles or editorial content, may have been created or modified, in whole or in part, using AI.

When an AI-generated visual realistically depicts existing people, places or events to the extent that it could be perceived as authentic, we explicitly identify it as such in accordance with the applicable requirements for so-called “deepfake” content.

Content Intended to Inform the Public

When we publish content intended to inform the public about matters of public interest, such as threat analyses, regulatory developments or security recommendations, it is systematically subject to human review and editorial approval.

This human oversight means that Data Guardians assumes responsibility for the accuracy and relevance of the information published.

Interaction with an AI System

If Data Guardians were to introduce a chatbot or AI assistant, you would be clearly informed from the beginning of the interaction that you are communicating with an artificial intelligence system rather than with a member of our staff.

What AI Does Not Do at Data Guardians

AI is a support tool, never a decision-maker. It does not take part in our audits, risk assessments, recommendations or advice provided to clients. These activities remain exclusively under the expertise and responsibility of our security engineers and lawyers specializing in data protection.

No confidential client data is processed by AI tools without an appropriate contractual and security framework.

Responsibility and Updates

We use artificial intelligence in a responsible, controlled and transparent manner. Our aim is to provide clear, up-to-date and high-quality content while retaining full human responsibility for its publication.
