FAQ

About our company

The role of an IT service provider is to keep IT systems running and, as a competent professional, to offer technical security solutions such as antivirus software. Data Guardians does not sell any technical solutions. Instead, it operates at the governance level, auditing the activities of IT providers to ensure they are aligned with best practices, and helping boards of directors and executive management genuinely understand their cybersecurity risks and make informed decisions.

Yes. The company brings together security engineers and lawyers specializing in data protection within the same teams. This makes it possible to address regulatory compliance (Swiss FADP, GDPR, etc.) and information systems security with a single partner.

Yes. Certification is rarely mandatory; it is a voluntary process that demonstrates a certain level of commitment and professionalism, but it is not always necessary. In all cases, Data Guardians relies on recognized frameworks and standards, so you never approach security at random. When no certification is being pursued, Data Guardians leaves aside purely formal requirements that do not provide an immediate security or compliance benefit.

Data Guardians’ experts hold recognized certifications (ISO 27001, ISO 42001, CIPP/E, etc.) in information security, and the company is an active member of or partner to several recognized institutions, such as Cyber-Safe and CLUSIS. Full contact details for reference clients can also be provided upon request.

The company offers both targeted engagements (audits, penetration testing) and ongoing operational support, for example to manage a certified or non-certified security or compliance management system through outsourced functions such as DPO or CISO services. Several clients can attest to long-term working relationships
